Day 1
Zanzibar to Serengeti National Park
Your safari begins early in the morning with a private transfer from your hotel to Zanzibar Airport. You will board a morning flight to Serengeti National Park, a scenic journey lasting approximately one and a half hours. Upon arrival at the Serengeti airstrip, you will be welcomed by your experienced safari guide who will escort you to your luxury lodge or tented camp. After a short rest and lunch, your afternoon will be dedicated to an exhilarating game drive through the Serengeti plains. This iconic ecosystem offers unparalleled opportunities to witness the Big Five as well as vast herds of wildebeest and zebra, depending on the season. As the sun sets, enjoy a sundowner overlooking the vast savannah before returning to your lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.
Day 2
Serengeti National Park to Ngorongoro Crater
The day starts with an optional early morning game drive to catch the predators and wildlife activity at dawn. After breakfast at the lodge, you will transfer back to the Serengeti airstrip to board a short flight to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, approximately 30 minutes away. Upon arrival, you will head to the rim of the Ngorongoro Crater and then descend into the crater itself for a half-day game drive. The Ngorongoro Crater is famed for its extraordinary density of wildlife, including endangered black rhinos, lions, elephants, and hippos. A picnic lunch will be served in the crater, surrounded by stunning landscapes and wildlife. In the late afternoon, you will ascend to the crater rim and transfer to your lodge perched on the edge of the crater, offering breathtaking panoramic views. Day 3
Ngorongoro Crater to Zanzibar
On the final day, you may opt for a morning cultural visit to a Maasai village or a nature walk nearby, depending on your schedule. After breakfast, you will be transferred to the Ngorongoro airstrip to board your flight back to Zanzibar, typically routed via Arusha. The total flight time, including connections, is around three to four hours. Upon arrival in Zanzibar, your safari concludes with a transfer to your hotel or the airport for onward travel.
